Building a Ginger Bread House
Saturday night we joined Finnian, Kristin and friend Paul helping Finnian make his holiday Ginger Bread House. We also created his first "old man ornament, " not pictured here, but it's now on the tree, hung with care. Each year we plan to make a new one with the date on it so as Finnian said, "When I'm an old man I'll look at them." I think by "old man," he means 20.

Our future architect! Let's not rush the boy into old man, cuz you know what that means for us! Really really old ladies. Kinda like that gingerbread house-- sagging in the corner, crusty but still a little sweet.
ReplyDeleteI loved watching you 2 work on the ornament. So focused and adorable. You're peas in a pod when you're together. It's now "Rebecca's ornament", FYI.
My house still smells like frying latkes!
